Welcome to BuzzHive. BuzzHive and its operators ("we," "our," or "us") provide this service. By accessing or using BuzzHive, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms constitute a binding agreement between you and BuzzHive and its operators. Your use of the service signifies acceptance of these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Description of Service

BuzzHive is a location-based social platform that allows users to create and participate in "hives." Users may share text, images, audio, video, alerts, and other media. BuzzHive may include AI-powered features to assist with content discovery and local insights. Features may change or be discontinued at any time.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate information
• Keep your login credentials confidential
• Accept responsibility for all activity under your account
• Notify us of unauthorized access

We may refuse, suspend, or terminate accounts at our discretion.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Post illegal, hateful, harmful, abusive, or discriminatory content
• Harass or threaten others
• Share false or misleading information
• Upload content you do not have rights to use
• Violate any law or regulation
• Upload malware or attempt to hack the service
• Harvest or scrape data from users
• Impersonate any person or organization

We may remove content or restrict users at any time.

5. User Content & Intellectual Property

5.1 Your Ownership

You retain ownership of content you submit to BuzzHive.

5.2 License to BuzzHive

By submitting content, you grant BuzzHive and its operators a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable, perpetual license to:

• Host, store, reproduce, modify, adapt
• Publish, display, transmit, distribute
• Create derivative works
• Enforce community guidelines
• Retain public or local content for community continuity
• Anonymize or modify attribution after account deletion

This license is necessary for operating the service.

5.3 Retention of Public & Local Content

Content posted in public or local hives may remain after you delete your account because it forms part of a shared community space.

If you delete your account:

• We will make best efforts to remove or anonymize your username (e.g., replacing it with "[Deleted User]").
• We cannot guarantee complete removal or anonymization, including copies in caches, backups, third-party systems, or content previously viewed or saved by others.

5.4 Private Hive Content

Content in private hives is deleted when you delete your account.

5.5 No Duty to Monitor

We are not obligated to monitor user content. We may remove content at any time.

5.6 Your Responsibility

You are fully responsible for all content you upload and warrant that you have the rights to do so.

6. Hive Visibility

BuzzHive supports Public, Local, and Private hives. Your content visibility depends on the hive you post to. We are not responsible for how others use publicly visible content.

7. Location Services

BuzzHive uses location data to show nearby hives and local content. You may enable or disable location permissions at any time.

8. AI-Powered Features

BuzzHive uses AI to assist with content discovery. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading. You agree not to rely on AI content for legal, medical, financial, or safety-critical decisions.

9. Prohibited Uses

You may not use BuzzHive:

• For illegal activity
• To transmit malware
• To interfere with or disrupt the service
• To collect user data
• To impersonate others

10. Termination

10.1 Our Right to Terminate

We may suspend or terminate accounts at any time, with or without cause.

10.2 Your Right to Terminate

You may delete your account at any time through the app or by contacting us.

10.3 Effects of Termination

• Personal information and private-hive content are deleted.
• Public and local content may remain, and we will make best efforts to anonymize your username. Complete removal cannot be guaranteed.

11. Disclaimers

BuzzHive and its operators provide BuzzHive "as is" and "as available."

We do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted service
• Accuracy of user content
• Accuracy of AI-generated content
• Safety or reliability of user interactions

You use BuzzHive at your own risk.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BuzzHive and its operators are not liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, data, or goodwill
• Harm resulting from user content or AI-generated content
• Unauthorized access

Total liability is limited to the amount you paid us (if any).

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold BuzzHive and its operators harmless from claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from:

• Your use of the service
• Your content
• Your violation of these Terms

14. Arbitration Agreement & Class-Action Waiver

14.1 Binding Arbitration

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of BuzzHive shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the AAA between you and BuzzHive and its operators.

14.2 Class-Action Waiver

All claims must be brought on an individual basis.

You waive any right to participate in:

• Class actions
• Class arbitrations
• Representative actions

14.3 Small Claims Exception

You may bring a claim in small claims court.

14.4 30-Day Opt-Out

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Updates take effect when posted with a new "Last Updated" date.

16. Children's Privacy

BuzzHive and its operators do not intend BuzzHive for users under age 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If such data is identified, it will be deleted promptly.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington and the United States.
